How do you define wedding music?

With so many wonderful songs filling our world today, how do you determine what music is fitting for a wedding? Is that love song you keep hearing on the radio good enough for your big day? What about that catchy song about true love that you just can’t get out of your head? Are only love songs allowed for a wedding day?

There are many memorable moments within your wedding day that will be enhanced with the right music, and not all of your wedding music has to be love songs. From dancing to the cake cutting ceremony, many opportunities are present for you to fill your day with happy and upbeat songs that don’t have a thing to do with loving another person.

Here at Naples DJ, we know just what music can do for your big day. That’s why we have gathered a few tips to help you define wedding music. If you are curious to learn more, be sure to keep reading:

·         It sets the tone. If you haven’t already heard, your music will set the tone for each event within your wedding. While walking down the aisle, surely you wouldn’t want to hear songs such as “Single Ladies” by BeyoncĂ©. However, when doing your bouquet toss, this is a perfectly fitting song. When choosing the music for your wedding day, it all comes down to personal taste. Imagine the songs that will set the right mood for your events.
·         Listening music and dancing music. When moving your hips on the dance floor, there are those songs that call to your inner dancer. But, when a song comes on that just isn’t right for dancing, surely your groove is ruined. If you have your heart set on some wonderful songs, but they just aren’t fitting for the dance floor, have no fear. There are other parts of your wedding day where they may do great, such as your cocktail hour or as guests enjoy their meal.
·         “Typical” wedding playlists. It’s safe to say that not every human on this planet shares the exact same point of view. Your point of view will determine whether you are for “party classics” playlists, or against them. Wedding music lists that are “typical” or “the usual” can often be seen in a negative light, as they aren’t considered unique. However, they offer a variety of music that are sure to please the mass of your wedding guests. Not everyone has the same taste in music and a playlist with a range of music is likely to play songs that every guest is sure to enjoy, whether it be one song or many.

Your wedding music is key to your big day. After all, can you imagine your walk down the aisle, dancing, or bouquet toss without the perfect soundtrack?
