Brendan and Melissa 2.15.2014

Scott and I are so grateful that we get to do many of our couple's weddings and/or receptions at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club!  Thanks for this one Lindsey!  We love to work with all the staff their!  Today we there for Brendan and Melissa.  This event is also a destination wedding!  They had their Wedding Ceremony on the Ocean Lawn with approximately 100 guests.  It was another beautiful sun soaked day here in Southwest, Florida.  Melissa and Brendan were married by Rev. Rick Riccardi a Priest from the East coast.

After the Wedding Ceremony the guest stayed on the Ocean Lawn to enjoy Cocktail Hour with a mix of tropical, Florida, beach type music that we provided for them while they enjoyed the sunset during the newly wedded couples photos were being taken.  The photographer was Sebrie Images Photography and they were all a pleasure to work with.

Next, it was off the the Wedding Reception in the Everglades Room.  Also known as the room with all the windows.  To start off the reception this new Mr. and Mrs. chose to be introduced into the room with just the two of them to "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke.  It's a fun and upbeat start for the start of the night!  Once a Welcome Toast and the Blessing was done they all enjoyed being served dinner. There were two more Toasts and then Brendan chose to say thanks to all the guests himself and to tell his new wife how beautiful she looks.  A classy touch, huh?  Brendan and Melissa chose to do their Cake Cutting ("Dearest" by The Black Keys) after dinner and before they did their First Dance and the Parent Dances.

Melissa and Brendan's First Dance song was "Better Together" by Jack Johnson.  Melissa and her Dad danced to "When You Need Me" by Bruce Springsteen.  Two-thirds of the way through it changed to "Centerfield" by John Fogerty. Growing up her Dad was her coach for all the sports she played including Softball.  Brendan danced with his Mother to "Child Of Mine" by Carole King.

The rest of the night was a lot of dancing and fun! It was such a pleasure meeting this sweet couple.

Kyle and Erin 2.14.14

Kyle and Erin had a small destination wedding of about 25 guests.  A few couldn't make it down due to the brutal cold snowy weather up north which caused canceled flights.  In Naples, Florida we were having gorgeous weather!  Warm sunshine with a cool breeze.  The wedding ceremony was on the sand on the north beach at the Naples Beach Hotel.  All the details were put together with Courtney at the hotel.

Naples DJ (Scott & I) provided the music for cocktail hour on the beach following the ceremony.  Once the sunset, the temperature dropped and felt great! The party then moved across the street to Broadwells Restaurant.  It's a quaint room with the bar right on the dance floor!  Perfect set up for us!

The introductions were first.  The parents, Maid of Honor and Best Man before the new Bride and Groom.  The bridal attendants danced in to "Beautiful Day" by U2.  Erin and Kyle entered to "Wagon Wheel" by Darius Rucker.  They went right in to their First Dance which was to "Feels Like Home" by Chantal Kreviazuk.  Try pronouncing that! (Krevy-Ay-Zek).

After dinner was served, Kyle and Erin did the Father/Daughter: "My Little Girl" Tim McGraw, and Mother/Son: "I Hope You Dance" LeAnn Womack.  Erin also danced with her Step-Father to "My Wish" Rascal Flatts, halfway through the other guests were invited to join them.

Before the Cake Cutting took place Erin changed in to her "Reception Dress".  They did the cutting of the cake to "How Sweet It Is" James Taylor, then their were cupcakes for the guests to enjoy.  The rest of the evening was dancing!

Kyle and Erin have fun friends and family that seemed to enjoy dancing and celebrating with them.  We had a great time too!  After all, their was romance all around us for Valentine's Day!

Steve and Nikki 2.8.2014

What a beautiful day in Naples, Florida for an outside ceremony at the newly designed Olde Cypress Country Club!  Warm sunshine with a refreshing cool breeze!

Steve and Nikki's ceremony took place at 4:30pm.  Scott played some modern songs set to classical music while the guests were taking their seats for the ceremony.  Instead of lighting unity candles Nikki and Steve poured different colored sand into a special picture frame with a place for a photo.  The ceremony was performed by Catherine Fazzina.  As usual she did a great job!

After the ceremony the guests made their way upstairs for cocktail hour while Steve and Nikki had some photos taken by photographer Ashley Allbee.  During the hour there music played such as Dave Matthews band, State Radio, O.A.R., reggae.

Then, onto the wedding reception in the main room!  We provided the uplighting of blue for the room decor that transformed the room nicely.  We started off with the Introductions to "Marry You" by Bruno Mars.  The First Dance was next.  Nikki and Steve danced to "You And Me" by Dave Matthews Band.  We moved on to a toast and a buffet dinner.  After dinner they danced with their parents to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw and "Let It Be" by The Beatles.

The rest of the evening was dancing, visiting and lots of fun!  The very last song Nikki and Steve chose for night was "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey.  It was very fun with plenty of romance.  We enjoyed the great time!

Kevin and Tristan 1.25.14

Kevin and Tristan had reserved our DJ services almost a year before they're wedding date!  They were referred to us by the Hilton Naples, which is where they chose to have their small destination wedding.  They had about 40 guests.

We ended up providing our Ceremony System for them on the beach at 8th Avenue South.  Tristan new exactly what she wanted for her ceremony and reception.  They chose to be married by Officiant Russ Wynn.  They needed our two microphones set up.  One lavalier for Russ and a mic and stand for a couple people doing some speaking during the ceremony.  Tristan's Dad walked her down the aisle to "A Thousand Years" by Piano Guys.  They also chose to flip a coin to decide if Tristan or Kevin would say there personally written vows first.  Once they kissed we played "Kiss The Girl" from the Little Mermaid Soundtrak (Tristan is a Disney Princess Fan!)  When they were all officially married and walked back down the aisle together their guests had small beach balls to "Toss".  We played "Best Day Of Your Life" by Katie Herzig.

It was then off to the Hilton Naples for cocktail hour and the reception in the Sabal Palm Room.  We had our uplighting in the room and Kevin and Tristan chose Purple and Teal to match their room decor.  It really looked amazing!  We knew they wanted their choreographed First Dance on video so I did that for them at their request with their "flip Camera".  I knew I wouldn't have the steadiest of hands so i also used a propped ipad from a second angle too.  It was a beautiful dance with a lift and dip at the end!

Even though smaller wedding receptions can be more difficult for the DJ, all of their guests were ready to have a great time celebrating!  It was such a pleasure to meet everyone and enjoy the party with them.  They'll be looking forward to enjoying a getaway in May when their schedules will allow.

Kevin and Tristan also wrote us an amazing review on Weddingwire.com.  Please feel free to read it below!

Tina and Scott were recommended to me through my wedding venue (Hilton Naples). I am so happy that we were able to use them on our big day. From the beginning of planning our destination wedding all they way through to our wedding day - Scott and Tina were always responsive, informative, and helpful.

They provided the music for our beach side ceremony. We only had 35 guests at our wedding and I was worried the DJ would really stick out with that small of a group. I didn't even notice where they were until the whole ceremony was over. The microphone provided for the officiant and our guest speakers made the guest experience so much better - it isn't something you think about until you are actually there.

Our reception was a complete blast. Scott did a great job keeping all of the guests engaged. When things started to die down - he was right on top of it. With a little help from the bride - we got a train going around the room with almost all of the guests!

The uplighting that was provided during our reception was stunning. All of the guests commented on how the room looked absolutely transformed.

And the added touch of having Tina there to help - I can't say thank you enough for everything you did. We had a surprise first dance that they both helped record from two different angles of the dance floor. Playing my favorite Disney song during the reception was a great surprise for me. The Gobo lighting was perfect! I can't imagine my day without the two of them.

Thank you Tina and Scott so much - it is evident how much you both care about what you do.

Andy and Erin 1.11.14

The wedding reception of Andy and Erin took place at the Windstar Country Club in Naples, FL.  All the details were arranged with the Food and Beverage Director Cyndee Del Toro.  The wedding photographer that they chose was Aimee Rossi from Aimee Rossi Photography.

Erin and Andy had our main system set up that includes our dance floor lighting, along with our uplighting package.  They chose to have all blue lighting to go with the room decor they provided.  We also provided an extra speaker for the separate bar area for the guest to enjoy the music and hear announcements while getting their next beverage during the reception.

As always, DJ Scotty did an amazing job entertaining the guests!  Andy and Erin had several special requests for Scott to mold into the evening which included some Greek songs for his family to celebrate along with some Ouzo shots for the guests enjoyment!    Some of their other music choices were:  For Introductions, "I Gotta Feeling" by B.E.P., "Love Rollercoaster" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.  The First Dance was to "My Girl" by the Temptations.  Father / Daughter Dance was to "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker, and the Mother / Son Dance song was "Blessed" by Elton John.  Erin and Andy also wanted to do the "Anniversary Dance" which ends up acknowledging the couple who's been married the longest which is always a nice touch.  Erin chose not to do the Bouquet and Garter traditions so, instead gave that toss bouquet to the longest married couple.  There were also two other special songs they wanted played for their family which were "Crazy" by Patsy Cline, "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, and "Tequila" by the Champs.

We wish the two of them our very best wishes!  I'm sure they're going to enjoy their Honeymoon this Spring when they take off to Sandals Jamaica to celebrate!

Ben and Alyssa 1.4.14

Ben and Alyssa held their wedding ceremony at 8th Avenue South in Naples, FL.  It was a destination wedding with the cocktail hour and reception at the Hilton Naples, all planned with the wedding coordinator their, Ashley.

Naples DJ provided the power for a stand alone microphone for a reading to be done at the ceremony, and a lavalier microphone for the Officiant Russ Wynn.  No music was provided by us since the couple chose a quartet for the ceremony music.

During the ceremony it was drizzling a bit, so Ashley provided the bridal attendants and all guests with umbrellas!  Alyssa was determined to have her beach wedding ceremony!

Here are their wedding reception details for music:
Introduction of wedding party to "Marry You" by Bruno Mars.
First Dance to "God Gave Me You" by Dave Barnes.
Father / Daughter Dance to : "I Loved Her First" by Heartland.
Mother / Son Dance to:  "The Perfect Fan" by Backstreet Boys.

The reception was approximately 36 adults and 8 children present and they all were such a fun group of people and had a great time dancing!
