Ben and Olivia 01.17.2015

This was a perfect weather day for an outdoor Ceremony and Reception at the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village!  Olivia and Ben contacted us in April 2014 about providing the entertainment for their destination wedding.  They were planning it from Minnesota and were referred to us by Rick and Patti Mastandrea from Reel Treasures Productions.

We, Naples DJ provided everything needed for all the days events including uplighting on the Tarpon Terrace.  The Ceremony and Cocktail Hour took place on the lawn area overlooking the water at the Westin.  The Reception was up on the rooftop on Tarpon Terrance.

At the beginning of the Reception we were to only introduce the Mr. and Mrs. into the terrace.  Ben and Olivia went right into their First Dance song which was "God Gave Me You" by Dave Barnes.  After dinner is when they did the Father / Daughter dance to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle, an edited version. Then the Mother / Son dance to "That's What Mamas Do" by Jason Matthews, also an edited (by Scott) version.  The Toasts and Cake Cutting took place after dinner.  Then.... LET THE DANCING BEGIN!!  What a great fun crowd!

Something a bit different that we've never seen before at a reception was that Olivia and Ben cut into a cake but, on each table was a different individual cake for each table!  Yummy!  Check out some of the photos I got of them, here!  They did also have a photo booth for their guests to get some fun photos taken.

Matt and Debi 1.2.2015!

THIS was a fun group.  It was a party!  Debi and Matt have been engaged for several years.  They decided to take a vacation to Laplaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, Florida.  They phoned friends and family and let them know that they were getting married and everyone and anyone is welcome to join their celebration.

It turned out that they had about 40 guests to celebrate their marriage with them down here!  They were married on the beach side then made their way over to the bay side for dinner.  The reception didn't entail many details.  Debi and Matt just wanted to visit with and have fun and dancing with their guests.  They weren't having any Introductions or any of the other "traditional dances" except for their First Dance which was to "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran.  After all the guests were situated and visiting, we paused for a welcome, toast and blessing.  The dinner stations opened.  Then after a bit we Let The Dancing Begin!

There were Cupcakes, cigars, and bracelets as Thank you's.  And there was a lot of dancing!  What a great night!  At 10:30pm all the guests were invited over to the beach side again to go to the Baleen Restaurant for late night snacks and more spirits!

Jonathan and Heather 01.03.2015

The destination wedding of Jonathan and Heather took place at Laplaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, Florida on Saturday January 3rd, 2015!  It was a beautifully warm day for their wedding.  Especially enjoyable for their guests from out of state. ;-)

We got to know them thru our meetings on Skype as they live in North Carolina.  It was great actually getting to meet them in person!

They make such a cute couple, and recognize the blessings they have together.  They actually met after college as they worked at a mission trip in Guatemala. By happenstance, they were assigned seats next to each other on the trip there, and on the trip back.  Friendship first, and the rest was natural.

The Ceremony started at 4:30pm.  We (Naples DJ) provided the music, a wireless lav mic on the groom and a wireless microphone and stand for the two readings that were given.  After they were married, the guests were asked to each take a shell provided by the newly wedded couple and head to the water and give a private prayer / blessing for Heather and Jonathan as they tossed the shell into the beautiful gulf waters.

Cocktail hour remained on the beach in the soft sand with the sound of steel drum music that we provided, which gave a truly tropical experience for their guests.  After cocktails and the gorgeous sunset, everyone headed over to the Bayside Ballroom for the reception.

Jonathan and Heather brought to Naples their photographer:Colin Mukri (a friend) and chose Rick & Patty of Reel Treasures for their wedding video.

The Introduction songs were "We Are Family" Sister Sledge for the Parents and Bridal Attendants.  Then, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" Michael Buble for the newly married couple.

Heather and Jonathan provided us with a CD that contained a mix of three songs that they had taken lesssons to choreograph their First Dance (they nailed it!).  Heather danced with her Dad to "God Made Girls" by RaeLynn.  Jonathan danced with his Mom to "Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris (edited by Scott version) ;-)

A blessing was given and a buffet style dinner provided, followed by three Toasts.  Next was the Open Dancing.  Heather wanted to start things off by having us do the Anniversary Dance which acknowledged the longest married couple at the reception (57 years!).  Later was the Cake Cutting.

Their guests had a blast.  Smiles were on Heather & Jonathan's faces all night.  What a great way to begin their lives together.  We're wishing Jonathan and Heather happy honeymooning on their Sandals trip to St. Lucia!

Greg & Dana 12.27.14

What a great way to end the year!  It was a pleasure to be part of Dana & Greg's wedding day.  We started the reception at the Naples Beach Hotel at about 6:00pm as photographer Anna from Zee Anna Photography finished with their beach side photos.  There was a truly gorgeous sunset on this night.

The Everglades room was decorated with the colors blue and silver.  Our blue led uplighting in the room looked great.  This was contrasted with a couple of white uplights behind the Head Table.  Here's a list of the music used for the formalities.

Introductions- "Uptown Funk" Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars and an edited (by Scott) version of "On Top Of The World" by Imagine Dragons.
First Dance that Greg & Dana took dance lessons for, "I Choose You" by Sara Bareilles.
Father / Daughter Dance- "The Christmas Waltz" by Jonny Mathis.  Dana's Dad used to dance with all three of his little girls to this song.  This version Dad needed Scott to adjust to 80% slower speed in order to dance their dance lesson to this song. ;-)
Mother / Son Dance- "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" Stevie Wonder.

This was all followed up by Dana's Dad welcoming all the guests and a blessing given by a dear family friend "The First Lady Of The State Of Florida" Ann Scott    ;-)

Dinner was served and some Toasts were given before the open dancing began.  After a set of dancing Greg and Dana did the Cake Cutting and followed it up with the Bouquet and Garter Tosses.  The song selections for these were:  "Let's Get It On" Marvin Gaye, "Single Ladies" Beyonce, "Sharp Dressed Man" ZZ Top, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" Def Leppard.

Some of their dancing song selections were:

Cotton Eyed Joe, YMCA (with Props), Cupid Shuffle, Electric Slide,
Crazy - Patsy Cline (for Claire & Greg)  **Must Play
Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran (for Dana & Greg)   **Must Play
After The Lovin' - Englebert Humperdink

David and Megan Goebel 12.13.14

Megan and David met us at a bridal show last year. We were very excited when she chose us for her wedding day. We were part of the reception and cocktail hour.  Both cocktail hour and reception were held at the Port Royal club in Naples Florida.

Both Megan and David met while they were in Chicago and both their families are from Chicago as well. There were several guests who traveled to Naples to be involved in the wedding.  The couple hosted about 130 guests at the Port Royal club.

It was a wonderful night. Although it was cool outside it wasn't cold. There wasn't any clouds in the sky, just beautiful sunshine right on the beach. The guests enjoyed a cocktail hour right on the beach and the patio at the Port Royal club. They enjoyed the sounds of tropical music.

As they made their way into the reception area the whole room was fully decorated for Christmas and looked beautiful. One by one the bridal party was introduced until Megan and David came in the room. They danced their first song to a classic drifters song, "This Magic Moment".  Megan danced with her Dad to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw.  David danced with his Mom to "What A Wonderful World" by Louise Armstrong.  The toasts were made after the salad was served.  All we can say is their family and friends were wonderful and all had a great time!  The dance floor was packed the entire night and they all enjoyed songs from the 50s through today.

We are honored that we got to be part of their special celebration!

Trace and Kristin 7.12.2014

This Saturday was a battle with the rain!  Kristin was such a great sport about the weather.  We all waited and waited for the rain to stop.  No go.  Trace and Kristin still got married on the lawn at the Naples Beach Hotel even though there was some drizzles.  The guests were good sports too!

Cocktails followed in the main dining room along with the reception which was originally planned to be under the Chickee Hut with about 45 guests.  Lindsay and the Staff at the Naples Beach Club handled the weather and changes like Champs.  Tonya Malay was the Photographer and I'm sure she achieved great pictures despite the weather too.

The wedding Reception was started off with the Introductions of the Bridal Attendants to the song "A Little Party Never Hurt Nobody" by Fergie.  The Newly weds went right to the dance floor for their First Dance Song "Faithfully" by Journey.  That was followed by Kristin and her Dad dancing to "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw.  Their was a couple Toasts and a Blessing of the food before the buffet style dinner.

After dinner Trace and Kristin cut into a large cupcake on top of a cupcake tier.  Then, the rest of the evening was spent dancing to music from Kristin and Trace's list they gave to us along with songs Scott mixed in for all to enjoy!  All together a success!  Kristin got to be married outside and even though the dancing was inside everyone was having a great time!  Kristin and Trace were so kind to send us a Thank You note.

Christopher and Dennette 9.19.14

Happy Honeymooning to Chris and Dennette in the Bahamas at a Sandals Resort!  Now that the wedding is complete they'll be relaxing and celebrating together!  Scott and I met Dennette and Chris last September when they were down in Florida from Missouri interviewing vendors for their wedding.  We got the job!  Thank you Chris and Dennette for choosing us!

This wedding reception took place at the Hilton Naples with the awesome Ashley who's the Special Events Manager at the Hilton Naples.  This Bridal Couple had about 42 guests in the Royal Palm Ballroom.  We played from 8pm to midnight.  It was a rainy day but the weather was on Ashley's side and the wedding ceremony was doable on the beach.  Whew!  Their photographer was Emma Burdis who we had the pleasure of doing the entertainment at her wedding also some years ago.  Always a pleasure to see and work with her!

To start the reception we did the Introductions of the Bridal Attendants with no music at Dennette and Chris' request since there were only about 40 guests.  The newly weds went right into their First Dance which was to "Forever's As Far As I'll Go" by Alabama.  Following that was the Blessing of the food and a few Toasts and then on with the plated and served meal.  The music they requested during dinner was Sinatra type music.  After dinner was the Cake Cutting and the Father / Daughter Dance.  "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle was chosen by Dennette's Dad.

Chris and Dennette chose not to stress over making us a "Must Play" songlist and only chose about 5 slow songs to play at points in the evening.  These were the wedding songs of some of the attending couples' wedding songs which was very nice and thoughtful. ;-)

This is a great job we have!  So much being part of such an important day in these couples' lives.
