The Timing of Your Wedding Ceremony Music Is Important!

When you listen to music, know that the length of time the song is presented is key to its enjoyment. If a song is too short, it wouldn’t be enjoyed as much. However, too long of a song will feel as though it is dragging on.

When presenting songs for moments within your wedding, the same principal applies. Timing is a key detail to creating a successful event.

Here at Naples DJ, we understand how important it is for music to be properly showcased throughout your wedding. That’s why we have gathered some tips to help you time the songs for yours. To discover what these tips are, be sure to continue reading for some wonderful insight:

·         As Guests Take Their Seats. A silent atmosphere certainly isn’t ideal. For your wedding prelude, which is the time where guests will arrive and take their seats for your ceremony, you should definitely have music playing. Typically, the prelude lasts approximately 30 minutes, providing an ample amount of time for everyone to get settled in.
·         Walking Down the Aisle. Your processional will be what kicks off your wedding ceremony. Bridesmaids and groomsmen will take their place and begin their march ahead of you, followed by the ring bearer and flower girl. For this event, you should consider two to three minutes of music being presented, depending on the size of your wedding party.
·         Just Married! After vowing your love to your partner and sealing it with a kiss, you will be pronounced husband and wife. You will make your way back down the aisle as newlyweds, which is known as the processional. An upbeat and celebratory song would be ideal to present, and should last about four minutes. This way, you can get congratulated by your guests before heading off to sign your marriage license.

With the right timing of your music, you can ensure that you and your guests will greatly enjoy your wedding ceremony. These are just a few tips to help you prepare you for yours.
