Light Up Your Big Day with Uplighting

With wedding magazines scattered across the floor and multiple albums created on your Pinterest, it’s likely that you have been on the hunt for the best wedding décor. You have seen hundreds of beautiful flowers, centerpieces, and more creative ways to use ribbon than you could have imagined, but is it enough?

While elements of décor among your tables are great, you may feel as though your wedding needs something a little more dramatic and eye catching. And lucky for you, there is a wonderful form of décor, that is especially popular lately, uplighting!

Here at Naples DJ, we want your wedding day to be striking, leaving your guests in shock with how magical it is. That’s why we have put together a few ways for you to light up your big day with uplighting. If you are looking for unique décor, be sure to continue reading to learn more:

·         Placement. Location is everything when placing your décor, and the same principal translates to your wedding uplighting as well. To splash your walls with color, uplighting structures are generally placed around the perimeter of your venue. This allows your walls to shine bright with brilliant hues and attracts the eyes of your loved ones. They are often used to highlight a specific area within your wedding, such as your cake table. Your lighting is not limited to the inside of your venue, you can highlight the world around your venue, from podiums to tall standing trees too.
·         Colors. When you first imagine lighting, you may only see white light highlighting your big day. However, this is not your only option! You can color your venue with marvelous colors, from magenta to blue. You don’t have to be stuck in a colorless world, and uplighting will help you break free from the traditional white light, if you so choose. Colors can add a liveliness to your big day and even set the right mood.
·         LED or incandescent. The world has many different bulbs to offer these days. LEDs, LCDs, incandescent…it can be hard to know which one is right for you. Each bulb has its benefit and LEDs are becoming highly popular due to their safety and energy efficiency. LEDs are currently paving the way to the future for lighting. Many uplighting contractors still use incandescent, but it is not recommended. Incandescent lights can produce a lot of heat which in turn, leads to fire hazards. While LED lights offer energy efficiency, that’s not the case with incandescent. Overall, LEDs are the route to go, and you get more color options.
