Wesley Melchiorre and Diana D'Angelo May 24th, 2009

This evening we were at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort. It is always a beautiful reception there. It's just a great location with gorgeous views.

Before the wedding we were unable to have a meeting in person, as Wes & Diana live in New York. Instead they helped plan their wedding with our online planner, and then we went over all their wedding details by phone (which we do sometimes). We actually met them last year when they were visiting Naples, planning their wedding day. We're glad they trusted us with their special day. What a beautiful couple they are! So nice and very outgoing themselves, and so are their friends and family!

Wes and Diana were married on the beach at LaPlaya Resort. Cocktail hour was on the patio outside of the Bayview Ballroom. They had a beautiful serpentine buffet set up with light snacks and a full bar for their guests. Afterward, everyone was brought inside to the reception room, where we helped get the party going.

Once the guests were settled in the ballroom, we began with the introductions of the parents and bridal party. The song they chose for this was "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce. Wes and Diana then chose to walk in to the end of the song "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. Once in the room, they went into their first dance - "Stay With You" by John Legend.

Dinner wasn't even over before the guests started dancing! They couldn't wait to get up and start partying! It was a great crowd for us.

We worked with photographer Tonya Malay, who we've worked with dozens of times. We love catching up with her, and she always works hard to make sure she has great photos. Wes and Diana chose to capture their day with videography, something we always recommend. Tonight we worked with Rob from AMC video, a true professional. Rob is always a pleasure to see and always turns out a great product.

Diana was very creative. She used sand dollars to make the place cards. Each sand dollar had a guest's name. The tables were decorated with beautiful flowers in tall vases, set in the center of each table. Diana had the back wall veiled in white drapery from floor to ceiling, highlighted with blue LED up-lighting. It really helped to add an ambiance to the already gorgeous room, while concealing the doors to the kitchen. For dessert Diana offered a complete candy bar, including bags for the guests to leave with that night. About 11:00 pm Diana arranged for a late night snack buffet to be brought out, featuring grilled cheese sandwhiches and "make your own" sloppy joes! It was a nice touch and a great hit with the guests! Great Idea, huh? To see some wedding photos, click here.

Saeed Akhter and Julie Kane May 17th, 2009

Julie and Saeed are a very sweet, traditional couple. They really enjoy celebrating there traditions too! They were married outside of The Strand Country Club. It was a beautiful sunny day!

The color and combination of the bridesmaids dresses were stunning!

We played the ceremony music and provided the microphones for a reading and for the officiant who married them. Something different the groomsmen did was that they brought out a laptop and webcam to broadcast the ceremony live through Skype for one of the bridesmaids who couldn't make the trip to southwest Florida. What a cool idea!

The cocktail hour was inside the ballroom at The Strand, along with the reception. After the introductions we went into their first dance, to "Come What May" by Nicole Kidman & Ewan McGregor (from "Moulin Rouge"). In the last few weeks Julie & Saeed took lessons, as their dance was beautifully choreographed and really set the tone for the afternoon. A very elegant and very romantic first dance.

They wanted very traditional type wedding music for the reception, including the Electric Slide, YMCA and an unusual family tradition from Julie's family - they have fun with "Little Willie" from Sweet - what a riot! Everyone seemed to have a great time! Click here to view their photos that I took.

Once again we worked with professional photographer Tonya Malay. It's always great to see them. She does amazingly beautiful photography. We have worked with her at several weddings, along with videographer John Mansika from Naples' Original Video Productions, Inc.

Aaron Ohloff and Stephanie Szymanski May 9th, 2009

This is Stephanie and Aaron. What a cute couple! Their ceremony and reception was at Bellasera. They were married outside by officiant Suzie Freeman. We weren't involved musically with the ceremony though we heard it was beautiful.

The cocktail hour music was done by a harpist. It was downstairs around the pool. There's a few photos in the wedding photo albums.

This was some unique decor' for the dance floor area. It took up a bit of space from the dance floor, but with 80 or so guests it was neat addition.

Stephanie and Aaron had a gobo made to display their names and wedding date in light. We provided the light for the gobo. I think it always looks good! Some other details about the reception was that the bridal party and parents were introduced to "Where the Party At" by Jagged Edge. The two of them were introduced to "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce, and their First Dance was to Nat King Cole's "L.O.V.E." Stephanie & Aaron provided an album for the guests to sign, and as "thank you" gift the guests could choose between engraved beer mugs or cruise-like drink glass. They had several little touches that were unique to their special day, including a "Photo Booth" that their guests had a blast with! It was our pleasure to get to know them and their families, and to be part of their special day.

John Morrisseau and AnnMarie Guglielmi May 2, 2009

John and AnnMarie's wedding ceremony and reception took place at The Vanderbilt Country Club. The ceremony was by the pool at 3:00pm. It was a sunny and breezy day. Afterward the photographer, Efrain Hernandez took some photos outside.
The guests headed inside the clubhouse for cocktails. John & AnnMarie joined the guests for part of the cocktail hour.
Their first dance was to a slow version of "Let's Get Married" by Jagged Edge. They wanted their guests to join them partway through the dance. Bubbles added a bit of fun romance too!
Overall it was a great day! Scott and I knew several people in attendance at the wedding. It was fun for us to visit with some people we new, including previous people we've done weddings for in the past. Be sure visit the wedding photo album at top right of this page!
